This is the last newsletter you'll receive from me here on Substack.
...but this is not the end! In fact, I'm rather hoping it's the beginning. From here on out, the newsletter will be hosted on Gumroad (where I sell my reference photos) instead.
Starting Monday, I am:
Disabling my Patreon and Substack memberships
Using Gumroad to send out my newsletters instead
Creating a new (and very exciting) higher tier of membership
If you’re a free subscriber, you don’t need to do anything (yay!)
However…
If you are a premium subscriber, your subscription will end and if you want to continue on, you’ll have to join anew over on Gumroad.
In addition to the premium newsletter, patrons of the new higher tier will gain exclusive access to content and development for my novel, The Sum of Our Deeds. You will see sneak peeks and info that won't go out to the public, status updates, early release artwork, exclusive development sketches and join a dedicated Discord community for paying subscribers only. I may even ask for feedback/suggestions/additions and get you to vote on things when I'm torn!
After years of evolution and exploration, my novel is finally at a stage where I can share without fear of everything changing. It's become so real, and I'm ready to invite you all in. I'm ready for you to meet my characters, explore my world and discover why the project is so passionately important to me.
And, if you sign up today, you'll get the first week for free!
So, why the change?
Splitting my subscriptions across multiple platforms added a tonne of extra work and ate significantly into my time.
Substack's fees are more than 3x higher, and Patreon's just under 3x higher, than the fees I pay on Gumroad (yikes!).
Gumroad is already my primary base of operations, with high traffic and active users.
While I think Substack is awesome, not many in our community are familiar with it yet, leading to a lot of hesitancy to get involved. Gumroad is much better known in our circles!
That’s all! I hope to see some of you over there! <3
